The program is designed to improve health through nutrition.

Cost $40 per person for those who are cooking: includes food preparation, food tasting, nutrition talk, apron & cookbook (16 cooking slots). Yoga & OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) instruction may be an option providing time allows.

Cost $25 per person for those who are not cooking: includes food tasting, nutrition talk, Yoga & OMM (Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine) instruction.

This is open to all, you need not be a Lyme sufferer to participate.

Additional aprons and cookbooks can be purchased at the event.

The cooking and food lecture will be led by Beth Dollinger, MD. Dr. Dollinger is board certified in orthopedics working for Arnot Health.

In addition, Dr. Dollinger is certified in Culinary Medicine and the head of Healthy Kitchens (HK). Healthy Kitchens Culinary Medicine is a licensed program from Tulane University School of Medicine. She works with the Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine which has been in existence for 9+ years. Dr. Dollinger has operated the HK program for five years. She teaches Osteopathic students nutrition based on the Mediterranean Diet as well as lectures on nutrition as it relates to many other medical conditions.

During this program, we are going to prepare foods which have high anti-inflammatory potential. While we are all sampling the food, Dr. Dollinger will give a talk on food and inflammation and how to mitigate some of the effects of inflammation by changing your dietary habits.

During the hour of cooking those who are not cooking can take advantage of yoga techniques as well as osteopathic manipulation designed to also decrease inflammation and diaphragmatic breathing (those who are cooking can participate as time allows).
